c1ik for students

Funky Town?

Marketing people love to typecast students as consumers of music, movies and chat and very little else.  In fact students these days are multitasking, often in teams, and they need internet access at home as much as they do on campus.

Getting ADSL in temporary or shared accommodation can be a bit of a problem, and the wireless data packages offered by the mobile phone operators are not 'funky' at all, in fact they are outrageously expensive for students' budgets.

The answer?  c1ik of course!  c1ik is portable, inexpensive and flexible.  It can be used by flatmates sharing without running up call charges on their phone bill.  It can be used when staying with friends without costing them a penny.

The problem of access on campus

Universities and colleges have an enormous problem keeping up with the high student demand for PC workstations and libraries and learning centres have restricted opening hours, especially at weekends.  But students have little choice about the hours they have to spend online.  Demand gets worse when assessments are due, rising to near panic-levels when people just can't get on a computer.

c1ik offers some respite from the overcrowding in university and college centres for learning.  When a draft report has to be sent for review, or a literature search completed, these tasks can be done at home, so it's not such a disaster getting chucked out of the library at closing time!

Mobile/Travel Access Needs

When you are travelling, you may also need some alternative means to access the internet.  c1ik here to read about the benefits of c1ik when you are out and about...
